Materials
Cast iron with vitreous enamel on both faces and an unglazed rim. It holds five and a half quarts and weighs four point eight kilograms empty. Safe on every hob including induction, and in the oven up to 260°C with the lid on.
Care
Dishwasher safe, though hand washing keeps the exterior gloss longer. Don't heat it empty and don't shock it under cold water while hot — enamel chips from thermal shock, not from use. Use wooden or silicone tools only.
